Terms of Service

Jukebox (jukeboxdiary.com) is run by the Jukebox team (“we”, “us”). By using Jukebox or creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Who can use Jukebox

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. We delete accounts we learn belong to someone under 13.

Your account

• Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Your username, name, bio, ratings, reviews, lists, diary entries and comments are public unless a feature says otherwise.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That removes your profile and everything you've logged.

Your content

You own the reviews, ratings, lists and other content you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute that content in order to run, improve and promote Jukebox (for example, showing your review on an album page or in a share image). The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already shared it or we must keep it by law.

Only post content you have the right to post. Don't post:

• Full song lyrics, recordings, or other people's copyrighted work beyond short quotes for review or commentary.
• Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content involving minors, or anyone's private information.
• Spam, fake reviews written for pay, or content that impersonates someone else.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Music, artwork and links

Album and song information, cover artwork and 30-second previews come from Apple Music / iTunes and belong to the artists, labels and other rights holders. They're shown to help you find and talk about music, and Jukebox isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Spotify, YouTube or any other service it links to. Using those services is subject to their own terms.

Paid links and support

Some links on Jukebox are paid links: we may earn a commission when you buy tickets or records through them, at no extra cost to you. They're labelled where they appear, and they never affect ratings, reviews or what we show you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Tips sent through “Support Jukebox” are voluntary, don't buy any extra features, and aren't refundable except where the law requires.

Sample content

While the community is small, some profiles, reviews, lists and ratings are sample content generated to show how Jukebox works. They're labelled “Sample” and aren't real people's opinions.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Jukebox infringes your copyright, see our Copyright Policy. We remove infringing content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Acceptable use

Don't break the law using Jukebox, try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, overload or disrupt the service, or scrape it in bulk.

Disclaimers

Jukebox is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that data won't be lost, so keep your own copies of anything important.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost data or profits, arising from your use of Jukebox. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US$50.

Ending your use

You can stop using Jukebox and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we shut the service down.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you on the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Jukebox afterwards means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
