Messiah, oratorio, HWV 56: Recitative - Comfort Ye, My People

Review by Priya Raman★★★Sample

Solid, but I keep skipping “Messiah, oratorio, HWV 56: Recitative - Comfort Ye, My People”. Sorry Eugene Ormandy, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Martha Lipton, Davis Cunningham, William Warfield & Eileen Farrell.

Played this on a road trip and now every highway sounds like “Messiah, oratorio, HWV 56: Recitative - Comfort Ye, My People”.

Not every song lands, but when it does it LANDS. “Messiah, oratorio, HWV 56: Recitative - Comfort Ye, My People” is the keeper.

There's a version of me before this album and one after, and the after one is insufferable about it.
