Solid, but I keep skipping “Hier bin ich, Vater: gebiete die Strafe! (Brünnhilde/Die acht Walküren)”. Sorry Martha Mödl, Leonie Rysanek, Ferdinand Frantz, Margarete Klose, Gerda Scheyrer, Judith Hellwig, Dagmar Schmedes, Erika Köth, Hertha Toepper, Vienna Philharmonic, Dagmar Hermann, Hertha Töpper, Johanna Blatter, Ludwig Suthaus, Ruth Siewert & Wilhelm Furtwängler.

Overhyped? Maybe. Did I still cry at “Hier bin ich, Vater: gebiete die Strafe! (Brünnhilde/Die acht Walküren)”? Also maybe.

Not every song lands, but when it does it LANDS. “Hier bin ich, Vater: gebiete die Strafe! (Brünnhilde/Die acht Walküren)” is the keeper.

The production on this is so warm it feels like sitting next to a radiator in January.
