Alcina, HWV 34: Act II, Pt. 1

Review by DeShawn Price★★★★½Sample

London Symphony Orchestra, Richard Bonynge, Dame Joan Sutherland, Teresa Berganza, Monica Sinclair, Luigi Alva, Graziella Sciutti, Mirella Freni & Ezio Flagello really said 'let me ruin your whole week' and then did it beautifully.

Not every song lands, but when it does it LANDS. “Alcina, HWV 34: Act II, Pt. 1” is the keeper.

Front half: perfect. Back half: also perfect. I'm annoyed.

the sequencing here is criminally underrated. “Alcina, HWV 34: Act II, Pt. 1” into the next one?? come on.
