Not every song lands, but when it does it LANDS. “Elijah, Oratorio on Words of the Old Testament, Op. 70 : Recitative (The Angel and Elijah): Night falleth round me” is the keeper.

Solid, but I keep skipping “Elijah, Oratorio on Words of the Old Testament, Op. 70 : Recitative (The Angel and Elijah): Night falleth round me”. Sorry New York Philharmonic, Alan Gilbert, New York Choral Artists, Joseph Flummerfelt, Twyla Robinson, Alice Coote, Allan Clayton, Gerald Finley, Jennifer Johnston & Benjamin P. Wenzelberg.

Overhyped? Maybe. Did I still cry at “Elijah, Oratorio on Words of the Old Testament, Op. 70 : Recitative (The Angel and Elijah): Night falleth round me”? Also maybe.

I respect it more than I love it. “Elijah, Oratorio on Words of the Old Testament, Op. 70 : Recitative (The Angel and Elijah): Night falleth round me” is undeniable though.

There's a version of me before this album and one after, and the after one is insufferable about it.
